Why Canterfield Creek neighbors go
Now in its 15th year, the GingerSnap 5K is a festive holiday-season run that benefits Girls on the Run of Union County. Runners, walkers and cheering families from Canterfield Creek can start the morning together and stay downtown for the tree lighting later the same day.
Tips from the neighborhood
- Register ahead; race-day spots and shirts can run out.
- Walkers are welcome at most community 5Ks, so it's a good family outing.
- Stay for the Waxhaw Tree Lighting that afternoon.
