Why Canterfield Creek neighbors go
The downtown tree lighting kicks off the holiday season in Waxhaw, with the crowd counting down as the lights come on. It's a short, kid-friendly evening that Canterfield Creek families can pair with an early dinner on Main Street.
Tips from the neighborhood
- The lighting has been held at Downtown Park on Givens Street in past years; check the town's page for this year's details.
- Bring a warm layer; it gets chilly once the sun sets.
- Grab dinner afterward at a nearby restaurant, and book ahead if you can.
